Animation artist
The art and concept is all by Markus Magnusson.

There’s a reason why most of the animators in this space look up to him.
1/1s
Markus has been active in the nft space since early 2021 with several 1/1s on Foundation.
Over-hyped?
There’s been A LOT of hype and discussion about the Friends.
My thoughts:
IF didn’t artificially create any hype here.
They didn’t over-promise anything.
I don’t even think there’s a roadmap.
Magnus posted some insane artwork that resonated with the community.
It took a life of its own in a frothy time in the market.
That’s all.
Space Doodles animated NFTs
Space Doodles is an animated add-on for all Doodles holders.
This is a game-changer because it doesn’t dilute the market.
I wrote more about this in our Doodles feature.
Cool Space Doodles
All the rockets have that classic, playful Doodles aesthetic.
Shrooms
Boomerang
Banana
Cloud
Doodle rocket
Horse
Bad idea
Big beep
Little beep
And some more…
Who’s the animator?
I told you not to sleep on Alfie Motion
He’s the lead animation director at Doodles.
I highly recommend you check out his personal work too.
DeeKay
I can’t do an article on animation and leave out DeeKay.
He makes playful, colourful animated 1/1s .
Destiny
After dropping a few simple NFTs, his work got deeper, more elaborate and … just … amazing.
Destiny is owned by Cozomo d’ Medici
The thing I love about NFTs is that it gives artists the time and space to explore their biggest ideas.
His most recent 1/1 is an intricate 30-second masterpiece called I Love NY.
Let’s Walk
DeeKay also created a series of NFT ‘walks’
There will eventually be a 100 different characters.
Each has a different edition.
Some are 1/1s, others are 20/20 or 30/30
A new batch just dropped.
Who else is out there?
The next obvious one is Imaginary Ones.
Another highly-anticipated project with an all-star team.
